The blue cross blue shield for the settlement of subscribers is late for the appeal. Settlement BCBS claiming that the violation of the Antitruist’s Law Law has long been approved and now the members of the class are expecting a payment.

The BCBS Class members who filed for a settlement before the deadline, November 05, 2021, were initially expected to pay after the final approval of the court 09, August 2022, however, payments from the $ 2.67 billion settlement fund were stopped because the BCBS authorization was filed.
On January 26, 2024. Appeal filed on a settlement of BCBS in October 2023 reached the appellant of the eleventh circle. The Supreme Court of the United States rejected appeals filed on the settlement of BCBS 24 June 2024, which means that appeals are resolved and the administrator will work on the distribution of payment.
According to the Settlement site, the administrator will submit notifications of determining the request by E -Station members of the class with valid requirements. The website has not yet updated the distribution of the request, however, on the basis of a report, applicants may expect a payment soon in February 2025 or thereafter.

- Then you should go to the “I Want To” tab and click “Check my status of request.”

What is BCBS about?

According to the BCBS Settlement Agreement, people who fulfill the following conditions of eligibility may receive payment:

- Dependent, unemployed and users (minors) do not qualify for settlement.
- People who excluded from the BCBS settlement through the settlement exclusion form.
How much do you expect to receive under the payment of BCBS?
As mentioned, the BCBS Settlement Fund is $ 2.67 billion, and the Fund is first used to cover the following costs:
- Administration costs and costs
- The cost and fees of a lawyer
- Awards for Class Representatives Services.
According to the Agreement, the Net Fund for the settlement after the administrator processes the above costs will be $ 1.9 billion, from this class members with valid claims will receive a payment.
The $ 1.9 billion net settlement fund will be divided into two separate fund- (a) $ 1.78 billion for insured groups and individuals, and (b) $ 120 million for self-financed accounts. The administrator will distribute funds in each class independently.
