The Palisades Fire started Tuesday in the Pacific Palisades coastal community of Los Angeles County.
The fire has burned hundreds of acres and forced tens of thousands of evacuations in the community of about 23,000, which sits between the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean.
It’s 5 miles northwest of Santa Monica and 10 miles east of Malibu, just off the Pacific Coast Highway.
