Payment status
BCBS settlement class members can check the status of their request as follows to know whether or not they receive a payment:

- Then go to the “I want” option on the starting page.
- Then click “Check the status of my request” to move on to the next page.
- Then in the box enter your unique ID number or requirement number and click.

The amount of payment
According to the Settlement Agreement, a member of the Class with a valid request will receive a payment from a net $ 1.9 billion settlement fund. The net food fund is the remaining $ 2.67 billion fund that comes after the settlement administrator covers other costs, such as law fees and costs, administration costs and awards for services for class representatives.
The $ 1.9 billion settlement fund will be divided into two funds, where $ 1.78 billion will be used to compensate for individuals, insured groups and their employees, and the remaining $ 120 million will be used for self-financed accounts and their employees.
Separate funds will be used to compensate for appropriate class members. The administrator did not determine the exact amount for each applicant, because it depends on many factors; However, on the basis of estimates, applicants may expect to pay up to $ 333 in accordance with this settlement. Who will receive it?
According to the BCBS settlement, the company violated the Antatrust law by agreement not to compete with each other, which limits the competition and results in lower health care costs.
