Singapore GST Voucher 2025: Check Payout Date & Payout Amount!


The Singapore government has confirmed an increase in the annual value threshold for various social assistance schemes that will come into effect from January 2025. One such assistance is the Singapore GST Voucher scheme which supports low- to middle-income earners.

The GST (Goods and Services Tax) Voucher Scheme has been launched to support people facing the rising cost of living and manage their living expenses. The government has announced a permanent GST voucher scheme in 2022 to ensure that they offset the GST costs of eligible households.

Recently, the Singapore government announced changes to the annual value threshold for Singaporeans that will see more people eligible to receive GST voucher benefits in 2025. The adjustment will cover millions of Singaporeans and provide government assistance through GST vouchers.

Eligibility of GST vouchers depends on annual value thresholds and other conditions. Under the current system, the body has two AV levels, where the first AV level will cover all HDB flats and the second AV level will have more than 3 or four residential properties. Components of the Singapore GST Voucher 2025

The initiative offers multiple components for Singaporeans to ensure that it meets all their needs and that people have enough support. The four components of the GST voucher scheme are as follows:

  • GSTV Cash: Direct GSTV Cash support for eligible Singaporeans to cover their basic expenses, cash payouts are made once a year.
  • GSTV U-Save: The component enables HDB households to receive quarterly benefits for paying back utility bills and saving money.
  • GSTV MediSave: Medisave support under the GST voucher initiative offers support to senior citizens with a bonus to their CPF account to help them with their healthcare needs.
  • GSTV Maintenance Cost Rebate (S&CC): Eligible tenants of HDB flats will receive a maintenance and upgrade rebate for HDB properties payable to tenants and owners.

What makes you eligible for the Singapore GST Voucher 2025?

Singapore citizens who meet the following component-based GST Voucher eligibility conditions will receive the relevant benefit component under the scheme:

  • You must have Singaporean citizenship and live in Singapore in 2025.
  • You should be an adult aged 21 or over in the reference year,
  • Since these are low- or moderate-income families, your earned income in 2024 should not exceed $34,000.
  • The annual value for one property you own must not exceed the above value.
  • You must have an HDB flat, either you live there or you are a tenant.
  • You have partially rented an HDB flat and at least one person must be a Singaporean.
  • You must have Singaporean citizenship and live in Singapore in 2025.
  • You should be aged 65 or over in the reference year,
  • The annual value of your home should not exceed $25,000 on December 31, 2024 and you must have only one property in your name.
  • Singaporean households living in HDB flats can claim the S&CC rebate,
  • There must be at least one tenant or owner who should be from Singapore,
  • The apartment owner or tenants do not own or have an interest in private property

Singapore residents can expect the following amount of financial assistance under the GST Voucher scheme based on the various component conditions:

  • Eligible Singaporean households will receive an S&CC rebate for 2 to four months each quarter, which offsets maintenance and upgrade costs for 0.5 months.
  • Based on current information, an eligible Singaporean will get an additional 0.5 months discount in January 2025 for all types of HDB flats.

Singapore GST Voucher 2025 Payment Date

According to the Singapore government, the authorities will provide a rebate, cash or compensation payment at certain times of the year. Under the rules, Singaporeans eligible for the GST Voucher scheme receive GSTV cash and a Medisave payment in August every year.

GSTV U-save and S&CC rebate will be processed quarterly, so recipients can expect payment during January, April, July and October 2025 in the following year. Singapore residents can check the exact date of their eligible GSTV benefit on their Singpass account.
