The woman, who is in her 50s and lives in a house in nearby Baydon, mored, died at the scene, said Wilkhirir Police.
The girl was later arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody. He was already tied up when questioned.
This means that while there is no risk to the public, residents can expect increased police presence in the area.
