Altadena residents find homes untouched by fire in LA

An LA resident returned to his home in Altadena to find it was the only surviving building on his street after the Eaton fire destroyed much of his neighborhood.

When he found his home, Enrique Balcazar could be heard crying, “what did I do to deserve this?”

At least 25 people have been killed and more than 12,000 buildings destroyed in some of the worst fires in living memory that have ravaged America’s second-largest city.
