Carrie Enerson remained undefeated at the 2025 Canadian Curling Trials in Montana with a 9-7 win over Selina Stormi on Tuesday morning.
Gimli, Man. Kennerson’s squad improved to 5-0 after scoring four goals in the ninth to take a 9-5 lead.
The Edmonton Storm fell to 2-3.
Ottawa’s Rachel Homan kept the heat on Enerson with a 4-1 record after a 10-3 win over Kamloops’ Corinne Brown, BC Brown fell to 1-4.
Those results put the top two women’s teams in Canada on a collision course, with Homan and Anarsson meeting in the final women’s round-robin draw on Wednesday afternoon.
The team that finishes on top of the round-robin standings goes straight into the best-of-three final, while the second- and third-placed teams face each other in the semi-finals.
In other results, Halifax’s Christina Black stole one in each of the final two ends to defeat Calgary’s Kayla Scurlock 6-5 and Winnipeg’s Caitlin Laws beat St. Adolph Maine’s Kate Cameron 5-3.
The Black and Laws improved to 3-2 and remain in the hunt for a play-off spot.
Scurlock joins Stormy at 2-3, Brown falls to 1-4 and Cameron falls to 0-5.
The women’s second-last draw is scheduled for Tuesday night, after the men’s afternoon draw.
The winner of the men’s and women’s trials will represent Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina, Italy.
