Canada’s Zach Eddy has career-high 32 points to lead Grizzlies past Kings

Eddy recorded his third double-double of the season in 29 minutes, shooting 16 of 20 from the floor. He scored six points in the final 3 1/2 minutes to lead the Grizzlies to their fourth straight victory.

Cam Spencer had 16 points, Jalen Wells had 15 and Jaron Jackson Jr. and Kentavis Caldwell Pope had 13 points.

Playing without Jay Morant, the Grizzlies — who rallied from double-digit deficits in their previous two games — led most of the way and then had a late surge stymied by the Kings.

Sacramento fell behind by 13 in the third quarter before putting together a run to take an 87-83 lead into the fourth quarter.

Memphis then went on a 14-2 run to start the fourth, and Eddie closed it out before trailing 101-99.

DeMar DeRozan scored 23 points and made three 3-pointers for the Kings. Malik Monk scored 21. Zach LaVine added 19 points for a season-high 34 in Friday’s loss to the Utah Jazz.

Eddie shot just one free throw, and it was his double-double by halftime.

Grizzlies: at San Antonio on Tuesday night.

Kings: Wednesday night at Houston.
