Elon Musk’s attitude at Trump rally draws scrutiny

Elon Musk’s appearance at a Trump rally this afternoon drew significant attention online in his one-armed gesture.

He made the gesture while thanking supporters for contributing to Trump’s victory. Musk thanked the crowd for “doing it”, before putting his right hand over his heart and then thrusting that same hand into the air directly in front of him.

“My heart goes out to you. It is thanks to you that the future of civilization is assured,” he said.

Some users on X, the social media platform he owns, likened the gesture to Nazi homage.

Musk has not commented since appearing at an earlier Capital One Arena rally.
