Former Bellator MMA champ Yaroslav Amosov set for UFC debut on December 13

The UFC’s welterweight division is even more interesting.

The organization has signed former Bellator MMA welterweight champion Yaroslav Amosov, who will make his debut on December 13 at the 2025 UFC Finals event.

The 32-year-old Ukrainian is set to face UFC stalwart Neil Magny on the upcoming Fight Night card in Las Vegas, the organization officially announced Wednesday.

Amosov began his professional mixed martial arts career 27-0 before suffering his first loss in 2023 when he was knocked out by Jason Jackson and lost his title at Bellator 301. He has fought just three times since winning the 2021 title and spent time serving in the Ukrainian military in 2022.

He became Bellator’s 170-pound champion when he defeated Logan Staley via split decision in 2020 before defending against Douglas Lima in 2020 and again against Starley in early 2023.

Amosov, who entered the UFC’s drug-testing pool earlier this month, bounced back from his first and only loss with a submission victory over UFC veteran Curtis Millander at the Cage Fury FC event in March of this year.

The combat sambo world champion also holds notable MMA wins over Bellator standouts Ed Roth and David Rickles, UFC veterans Erick Silva and Gerald Harris, as well as former KSW two-division champion Roberto Soldac.

Magni holds the record for the most wins in UFC welterweight history and is tied with Charles Oliveira for the most wins in UFC history. The 38-year-old American is 24-12 in the UFC and is riding a two-fight winning streak in 2025 with a technical knockout victory over Eliseo Zaleski dos Santos in early August and a submission of Jake Matthews in late September.

Amosov is the latest former Bellator star to join the UFC’s roster. Two other former Bellator champs, Patricio “Pitble” Freire and Peachy Max, debuted in the UFC earlier this year, as former Bellator star Aaron Pico told . These three fighters have had the most success in the UFC so far. Pitbull is 1-1, Max is 0-2, and Paco was knocked out in his lone UFC appearance.

The December 13 event is headlined by a matchup between flyweight contenders Brandon Rival and Manuel Kip.
