Joe Biden said a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas would “stop the fighting in Gaza” and increase “much needed” humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.
In a speech on Wednesday, the outgoing US president also said the deal meant Israeli hostages held in the region would “soon” return to their families.
