Jordan Cuero of the Blues to be a healthy test against the Sabres

Jordan Cuero of the Blues leaves the game against the Senators with an injury

Jordan Cuero left Saturday’s game against the Ottawa Senators with a lower-body injury and will not return, the team announced.

Caro was awkwardly checked into the boards by Senators forward Stephen Holliday in the opening minutes of the first period and needed help to leave the ice, heading straight down the tunnel.

The 27-year-old Toronto native has eight goals and eight assists in 27 games this season. He scored at least 30 goals in each of the last three seasons.

St. Louis doesn’t have much of a break after bowing with Ottawa, as it returns to the snow Sunday to face the Montreal Canadiens before returning home to host the Boston Bruins on Tuesday.

The Blues (9-12-7) are 13th in the West with 25 points in 28 games.
