Magic’s Desmond Bean fined $35,000 for throwing ball at Knicks GM Anunoby

Desmond Benn’s wallet is taking a hit after one of the weirder technical fouls seen in the NBA this season.

The incident occurred midway through the fourth quarter of the Magic’s 106-100 loss in New York.

As Anubi went up for a layup on a fast break, Magic guard Jalen Suggs moved in for a block and the two fell to the floor on the play. As the ball was going out of play, Beane caught it and threw a hard hit on Anunobe, hoping to get New York out of bounds.

The two players confronted each other after the game, Anubis punched Bean, and an official separated them.

While the call was initially deemed out of bounds on Anubi, the play was reviewed and Benn was assessed a technical foul.
