McMann held a hearing with player safety on Tuesday after receiving a match suspension for the game on Monday.
McMahon snapped his stick at Bjorkstrand, hitting him in the shoulder area during a third-period scrimmage that broke after a knee on a puck that injured Maple Leafs defenseman Dakota Mermus.
Lightning forward Gage Gonclos received a five-minute major and a 10-minute game misconduct on the play, while Maple Leafs forward Dakota Joshua and Lightning defenseman Max Crozier were given five-minute majors for fighting.
McMann, 29, has eight goals and six assists in 29 games this season.
He has never been suspended in the NHL.
Leafs coach Craig Berube disagreed with the match penalty on Monday, calling it a “tough one.”
“From our perspective on the bench, I couldn’t really see it very well. I’ll take a look at it, but I had a hard time with it,” he said after the game.
The Maple Leafs, who won the game 2-0, return to action on Thursday when they host the San Jose Sharks.
