More than 600,000 without power after Russian strike

More than 600,000 people in Ukraine’s Kyiv region are safe from Russian attacks, officials say.

Ukraine’s energy industry says more than 500,000 of these are in modern cities, with the rest in the surrounding areas. It denies the loss of power to missiles and drones that disrupt the energy infrastructure in the city and some other areas.

About 36 missiles and nearly 600 drones were launched at targets on Saturday, officials said, killing three and injuring three and injuring dozens of others.
