Sports.ca: You started skating aged 6. Are you a direct defender?
Henry thun: I play D. I play goal. I went through several positions. I was a full-time device by 13 or 14. I was kind of here to go and just go with it. Our youth team is all about having fun and kind of flowing. There’s not much structure, too many rules. Eventually I got high school and knew what I was going to be. I landed on the defensive.
Sn: you quickly pinch and join the rush?
HT: Yes, I’ve always felt the side of the game, the thing I got up to contribute.
Sn: I read you were adopted by the New York Rangers family.
HT: No one has asked me before. I don’t know where to start from. My dad is from Buffalo, so he’s always been a fan of koreb. Support every Buffalo sport. And my mother is just a month for me to play, basically. If anything, my father tried to lead us towards the nation, but nothing for us really.
Sn: Did you watch a lot of hockey as a kid?
HT: a lot of hockey, a lot of sports in general. Played three sports until I was about 16, so I was always active. A lot of hockey. A lot of baseball. Played a lot of Lacrosse in high school, so I was all over 16 hours.
Sn: In what you realize, ok, I’m good enough to make this career?
HT: Right around 16, when I did the NTTDP (National National Department preparation program). In the middle of the world, I’m playing ballad until November, hockey from November and lacosse through the spring. I always liked hockey the best and knew it was something I was good at, and I was lucky to change it at a young age. Once I made NTP, I knew. OK, this is a unique situation.

SN: What is your opinion on children playing sports?
HT: It’s hard to miss right now with youth hockey. I was pretty stiff and I was lucky enough that my parents would help me out with it. But it was difficult. I see. The young guys today are more skilled than ever, and I skated with some of the young guys over the summer and saw the talent. Just pure skill – they got that from all those hours put on hold. It’s cold. But at the same time, you wonder if there’s a level of burnund, or even a level of hockey iQ that they don’t carry over from playing other sports. So, I don’t have an answer for you. I’m all playing more sports until I’m 14, 15, 16. up to a point, free-for-all. Go play all you can.
SN: Do you still play other sports?
HT: a lot of tennis. Play golf. The main person I stick with now.
HT: I want to go to school in Boston. When I looked at the school, I fell in love with Harvard and the coaching staff. An outstanding sports program. High school, obviously. So, it was great, and I really loved it.
SN: What do people out there not know about Harvard?
HT: the best way to describe it, everyone is really nice. You meet unique people. Whether it’s someone who is an all-American baseball player, or someone who started their own company, or someone who runs a political campaign, or someone who is not trusted in the country – everyone is not trusted. Everyone has their own hustle and Ele. So, you meet a lot of interesting people.
SN: How difficult was it to complete your degree — a double major in economics and psychology — while trying to make the NHL?
HT: It’s a commitment, going to school there – but hockey comes first. I don’t want to go to school until hockey; I always wanted to think about hockey. And I try to do everything I can, both time-wise and energy-wise. Thanks, I can succeed in school on top of that. (Academics) is a big part of life there; Has the highest reputation for a reason. It’s a challenge, and you have to go through the academics. But there is a lot of support in place. Whether it’s someone else or a teacher or counselor, there are many ways they can help you.
SN: Are you thinking about a backup career while studying and playing?
HT: No. there is no plan B. That is not the way to do it.
SN: You were signed by Anaheim in 2019 but never signed with the Ducks. Why not? Why wait and get a free agent from the NCAA?
HT: My management was removed by (invited by B BUB Muray) Had all been activated, and a new group arrived. I am also a new employee and staff member. But I just feel like I want another year at school. I’m talking to Pat about it. We went with them twice, and they had a good setup for me. One “one” setup. They have a great staff, the development is second to none, a lot of good processing that is fun. They are rebuilding. But I know, going back to school, I have the opportunity to appear on other teams. And for me, San Jose is one that exists compared to A. Having the opportunity to choose exactly where I want to start my career is unique. That’s not to say I don’t like Anaheim. I really like it, and they know it. But I really loved Jose as an opportunity.
Sn: from the outside, we look at your age and see where the sharks are in their competitive cycle, and we imagine Prime Using Prime And San Jaksa will Align. So, why doesn’t it work?
Ht: yes. I don’t know. I mean, I love being here. I am glad to be part of the winning group. Everyone plays to win. And I was able to breastfeed a few years ahead in my career and sell my early advantage, which was fun. So, when I found out where I was being invited, I was really excited. The first thing that is played about is being a part of a group that has an interesting culture with characters and characters with a lot of success. So, I feel really stuck.
SN: The beginning brought back all six veterans from last season. You are the most important summer minina. How do you see the challenge of taking a varied place?
Ht: that’s a good challenge, isn’t it? The team had a lot of success in the regular season last year and made it to the playoffs, eventually falling short of the final goal. But I meet the puck-ability, there is an added offense from blansine, and the physical aspect as well. I feel like I can play the line, move the puck to the top guy. Or, if I need to play lower and play a more physical, simple game, I can do that as well. I’m just trying to create a lot of words and play the best I can, then see how things shake out.
