Raptors Jacob Poultle out vs. Grizzlies with back injury, Jamal Scheid questionable

Raptors’ Jakob Poeltl returns vs. Bucks

Jakob Poeltl, who has missed the past three games with a back injury, will be available on a one-minute suspension against the visiting Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, SportsNet’s Michael Grange reported.

The seven-foot Austrian averaged 6.3 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 59.1 percent from the field in the first four games of the season.

Poeltl suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of the Raptors’ loss to the San Antonio Spurs last Monday. He played 24 minutes and went to the locker room early in the fourth before the team announced he would not be returning.

There wasn’t a moment that seemed to force Poeltel from the competition, but the 30-year-old has been dealing with back pain since preseason.

Six-foot-seven first-round pick Colin Murray-Boyles has started at center in Poultle’s absence.
