Chargers open practice window for RB Omarion Hampton

Report: Chargers RB Omarion Hampton expected to play vs. Eagles

The Los Angeles Chargers are getting their star rookie back.

Running back Omarion Hampton is expected to start Monday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported Saturday.

NFL insider Jordan Schulz first reported the news.

Hampton sustained a sprained ankle on Oct. 5 against the Washington Commanders. The 22-year-old rushed for two touchdowns and 314 yards in five games, averaging 4.8 yards per carry before the injury.

Hampton was drafted 22nd overall out of the University of North Carolina, and was the second running back in the 2025 draft behind Ashton Janette.

The Chargers (8-4) will look to stay alive in the AFC West division when they play the Eagles (8-4) on Monday night.
