The Baltimore Orioles have a new bench boss after spending most of the 2025 season with an interim manager.

Craig Albernaz, a former associate manager with the Cleveland Guardians, is close to a deal to become the Orioles’ new manager, ESPN’s Jeff Passon reported Sunday.

The Orioles finished the 2025 season 75-87 and fifth in the AL East. It marked a steep fall from grace after finishing with a 91-71 record in 2024 and a 101-61 record in 2023.
