Senators Thomas Chabot, Ridley Gregg come out against the Kings

The Ottawa Senators will be down a few bodies as their road trip continues.

Ridley Gregg and Thomas Chabot were both ruled out for Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Kings, head coach Travis Green said.

Gregg, 23, will miss his third straight game with an undisclosed injury.

For the season, he has two goals and six assists while playing in all 19 Senators games.

Rookie Stephen Holliday, who made his NHL debut on the road trip and had one assist in two games, will once again step in for Gregg.

Chabot, 28, will return to the press box in Saturday’s 3-2 win over the San Jose Sharks following a three-game absence with an upper-body injury.

In 18 games, the defenseman has tallied two goals and eight assists.

While the Senators wrap up the California portion of their road trip against the Kings, four more games remain, starting with a visit to Vegas on Wednesday.
